STEADILY RECURRING FORM OF THE PULMONARY ARTERY THROMBOEMBOLISM
It is known that a clinical course of thromboembolism may consist of several episodes, “light” intervals between these episodes may last either several hours or several days. Surgical prevention of recurring thromboembolisms has become possible and available thanks to these intervals. We suppose grounding on the long-term observations of the disease clinical peculiarities that one may single out a peculiar type of the disease course which we call steadily recurring thromboembolism of the pulmonary artery.
The main point of the pathologic process is that attacks occur with rather a short interval and it permits to assume a recurring embolic material tearing off from a thrombus with the pulmonary artery branches (mainly small ones) occlusion.
