THE FIRST EXPERIENCEOF TRANSANAL ENDOSCOPIC MICROSURGERY AT THE TREATMENT OF RECTAL TUMORS

Objectives. To estimate the efficacy of the transanal endoscopic microsurgery at the treatment of the rectal tumors.
Methods. The results of the transanal endoscopic removal of the rectal tumors are analyzed.
Results. The obtained results permit to evaluate the technique of the transanal endoscopic microsurgery as rather an effective method of treatment of large benign epithelial rectal growths. The main advantages of the given technique are the possibility to remove the growth within the limits of the adequate resection boundaries, the character of the intervention which is sparing for a patient, lack of change in the functional state of the rectal obturative apparatus, low level of economic expenses on a patient linked with shortening up to minimum the postoperative bed-days.
Conclusions. Transanal endoscopic microsurgery permits to remove effectively the villous tumors and early forms of rectal cancer.
