POSTTRAUMATIC BRAIN ABSCESSES (CLINICAL PICTURE, DIAGNOSTICS, TREATMENT)
The article is dedicated to the hardest brain pathology – posttraumatic abscesses. Present-day literature review and analysis of own materials are presented. It is noticed that due to the traumatism increase the percentage of the intracranial pyo-inflammatory complications has also increased. It is pointed at the clinical polymorphism of the disease manifestation and course as well as at difficulties of diagnostics. The informative character of auxiliary methods of the examination is discussed among which the leading role belongs to X-ray computer tomography, magnetic-resonant tomography, cerebral angiography (3 illustrations are presented). Among the abscesses surgical treatment variants preference should be given to the puncture method as the simplest, less invasive and effective one. At the same time it is necessary to carry out an intensive antibacterial therapy in maximal daily doses, disintoxication, dehydration and immunocorrection.
