REMOTE RESULTS OF THE ADJUVANT THERAPY IN THE PATIENTS WITH NON-SMALL CELL LUNG CANCER WITH METASTASES IN THE MEDIASTINUM LYMPH NODES

Unsatisfactory statistics of the 5-year survival in the stage III of non-small cell lung cancer affecting mediastinal lymph nodes after radical surgery requires searching for new ways of extending patients’ life and clinical recovery. The aim of this study is to compare effectiveness of various schemes of adjuvant polychemotherapy with the usage of Cisplatin and Etoposide (CV) in one case and Navelbine, Cisplatin and Etoposide (NCV) in the other, and adjuvant radiation therapy in the total focal dose of 40 and 50 Gr for the patients with non-small cell lung cancer with metastases in mediastinal lymph nodes, who underwent radical surgeries. It was found out that the most effective adjuvant therapy for the patients with non-small-cell lung cancer of the III-A B stages (N2) is polychemotherapy by the scheme Navelbine-Cisplatin-Etoposide. While using this scheme, the 5-year survival is significantly higher than in case of postoperative radiation therapy application with the total focal dose in 40 Gr and 50 Gr by the scheme Cisplatin and Etoposide.
