EPITHELIAL COCCYGEAL PASSAGE: PRESENT-DAY ASPECTS OF THE PROBLEM

The literature data concerning epidemiology, etiology, pathogenesis and treatment of epithelial coccygeal passage are presented in this short review. Special attention is paid to the description of the main methods of the operative treatment. As the presented data relating to the number of complications at the treatment of epithelial coccygeal passage show, standard operative aids in patients don’t decrease the number of recurrences, that is why search for new methods of surgical treatment seems to be so vital.
